Feel fabulously festive with us

Join us in feeling fabulously festive this Christmas with our Christmas homestuff and candle collection to get your home looking and smelling festive. And let’s not forget our festive favourites in our coffee shop.

Christmas is our favourite (and busiest!) time of the year. Our preparations began in early October when we filmed our first ever Christmas TV advert, which hit our TV and computer screens on Friday 11th November. For this we had to put in a temporary Christmas themed window display so this year Mel, our visual stylist, has had to get her thinking cap on and work extra hard to create not one but two Christmas window displays. And we think she’s done a (Christmas) tree-rific job!

The Countdown to Christmas in Highbridge began with the town’s Christmas Light Switch On on 19th November when the town was lit up like a Christmas Tree and became all festive. It was a fun packed day with an Elf Trail in shop windows along Market Street and Church Street (including ours – he might still be there if you look closely!), a lantern parade, some Christmas carolling, a visit to see Santa at Maisey’s Bakery and a Christmas Craft Fair both in the Community Hall and in Create You.

In December we like to get festive and raise money for two charities; The Alzheimer’s Society with their Elf Day on Friday 2nd (did you see us in our elf-its?) and Save the Children on Friday 9th (we’ll be donning our Christmas Jumpers from now on till the big day). We would love it if you could support us with this by dropping your change into the donations boxes on the coffee shop counter whilst you’re enjoying our festive favourites (keep reading to find out what they are). We look forward to seeing you in your Christmas Jumpers too!

We have a great selection of home stuff and giftware to get your homes super cosy and festive including our Christmas cushions and doorstops, festive lights, Yuletide ornaments and if you like the smells of Christmas then you’ll love our Christmas candles, wax melts and reed diffusers. We’ve added to our Christmas home stuff collection this year with our lustrous glass bauble’s to decorate your Christmas tree, which are beautifully hand crafted in both green and a red berry and come in many different styles and sizes. These have proved very popular already!

Christmas at Sopha wouldn’t be complete without our Festive favourites in the coffee shop. We have not 1 but 4 festive sandwiches and paninis to choose from on our Christmas Menu including a Christmas twist on one of our favourites. We’ve added some Christmas Chutney to our Bacon, Brie and Cranberry Panini making it our Cran-Merry Christmas Panini. We also have some pigs in blankets crisps to complete the Christmas Dinner feel with your festive favourite. We hope you like them just as much as we do.

As well as our festive favourites we also have our Christmas drinks including our Gingerbread Latte, with a mini gingerbread man on the side, and our Hot Chocolate Orange Mountains, with lashings of marshmallows and cream served with a slice of Terry’s Chocolate Orange. As Christmas is a time of giving we’ll be giving 10p to The Alzheimer’s Society for every Christmas drink we sell during December.

With Christmas just around the corner there’s no need to panic that you haven’t got enough chairs for your guests to sit on this Christmas as we made sure we ordered stock of our most popular sofas including our Galaxy and Custard Cream sofa ranges. Don’t forget on every Saturday in the run up to Christmas Sedgemoor are offering free parking in all Sedgemoor owned Car Parks including Bank Street Car Park in Highbridge to encourage us to shop locally in our small independent shops. We have our own car park at Sopha so there’s no excuse not to visit us! However, wherever you park we would love it if you could ‘shop local’ this Christmas by supporting us small independent businesses in your local town.
