Local furniture retailer Sopha are excited to announce that one of their factories will be featured on TV next week. Harrison Spinks, one of the 3 British factories Sopha uses to manufacture their mattresses is to be featured on BBC Inside the Factory this Tuesday (20th August) at 8pm.

Inside the Factory takes a look inside the world of manufacturing to see how different products are produced. Each episode is viewed by an average 2.9M viewers and covers a different product. The show is hosted by Gregg Wallace, Cherry Healey and historian Ruth Goodman.

Gregg visits the Harrison Spinks factory to see how they make their unique mattresses. Cherry visits the Harrison Spinks farm to see sheep shearing and the process of cleaning the wool. She also visits British Steel where Harrison Spinks have a plant that makes the rod for their springs. Ruth Goodman investigates the history of the pocket spring and duvets of the past.

Sopha have invested in training alongside Harrison Spinks with six of their staff having graduated from the Somnus Sales Academy where they studied on the same farm and in the same factories that will be shown on Tuesday evening’s programme.
