Our sofa factories on the fight against Coronavirus
As the Corona-virus pandemic took hold last month some of our furniture factories started making Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the National Health Service (NHS).
One of our longest established sofa makers, in South East England, adjusted their sewing machinists from making sofas to producing gowns for their local NHS workers who are working on the front line trying to keep everyone safe. So far they have supplied over 2,200 gowns.
Another sofa factory, based in North-East Wales, were also able to use their skilled workforce to produce much needed gowns for health workers by making 6,000 per day, which they hoped to increase to 15,000 per day.
We are incredibly grateful and give our full support to our sofa factories in their endeavour to take care of the NHS workers. What a lovely gesture and a great way of turning a negative situation into such a positive one. As well as thanking our suppliers we would also like to thank the NHS and key workers for their continued care towards those who need it in such challenging circumstances.
Our factories are now getting back to normal and we have a great selection of sofas and beds available with quick delivery whether that’s one of our ex-display sofas, which you can view on our Last Chance section, a Mattress for ‘Next Day Delivery’, a new collection from Harrison Spinks or one of our 10 Day Delivery Mattresses.
