We’re thrilled to announce a brand-new chapter for Sopha – the launch of our very own carpets & flooring department right here in Highbridge! And who better to head up this exciting new venture than well-known local flooring expert Mike Fear.
Mike, together with his wife Fiona, has run M&F Carpets & Flooring for more than a decade, first in Burnham and later on Church Street in Highbridge. Over the years, Mike has become known for his personal service, attention to detail, and expert knowledge – helping hundreds of local homeowners find the perfect flooring for their homes.
The business grew so successful that it became too big for Mike and Fiona to manage on their own, which is where this fantastic partnership with Sopha began.

This partnership is also a personal one. Mike is the brother-in-law of Sopha’s founder, Matt Scott, and this move brings the two back to working together again following a previous stint when they both worked for their late father and father-in-law over a decade ago.
It also continues a proud tradition – our family has been providing carpet and flooring services to the local area for nearly 50 years. For us, this isn’t just business – it’s about continuing a family legacy of helping local people create homes they love.
