The Marquis 21,000 Mattress in the Somnus range by Harrison Spinks offers advanced comfort featuring locally sourced (to Harrison Spinks in Yorkshire) Yorkshire Dales Eco Wool and 21,000 Sensa Intelligent springs.
The divan bases are available in a variety of fabrics, make the best use of the space in your home by adding storage to your divan base. They divan are handcrafted by skilled craftsmen and women in North Yorkshire. Each base is manufactured with wood from FSC® certified forests.
The Marquis 21000 is finished with four rows of side stitching to the border and a luxurious, in-house woven wool damask fabric that is 100% FR chemical free it has been created for sustainability and comfort.

Sustainability
Harrison Spinks have gained Carbon Neutral+ status for their commitment to making the mattress industry sustainable. They grow their own hemp and flax on the Harrison Spinks farm (previously known as the Somnus Farm) in North Yorkshire. They have their own flock of sheep that provide home grown wool which reduces the carbon created by transportation. The steel in the springs is made from British Steel, pulled in their own spring plant on the factory site, again reducing transportation emissions.
Harrison Spinks has made the commitment to remove all foam and glue from their mattresses and to work towards making their mattresses 100% recyclable. When you think the number of mattresses disposed in the UK is enough to fill Trafalgar Square to the top of Nelson’s Column each year, this can have a major impact. No foams also means moving away from the nasty chemicals that were previously used in mattress production back in the days that memory foam was a big seller.
Harrison Spinks also has been awarded two Queen’s Awards for their sustainable development which has included new designs for spring systems, the re-introduction of Hemp as a mattress filling and an all round commitment to reaching the environmental impact of mattress production.
